Thank you for all of your support. It took some extra time but the vote count has now been finalized, and it was very close. Heather Newsom ended up winning our election contest by only 9 votes.

I also want to congratulate Jason Upchurch for winning his election. I have full confidence that he will do a great job. Also a big thank you to Councilmember Caleb Stapp who has proven to be a law-abiding and principled leader as well. Caleb has worked hard to foster communication and transparency while on the Deer Park City Council.
Please stay engaged in our city, there is so much going on it is critical to have public participation in the local government. Make sure to contact all of the council members regarding issues that are important to you.
As for me I will be finishing up and publishing a number of blogs that I have started for this site. So stay tuned for those.
